In 2002, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India conferred the “Deemed to be University” status on Symbiosis, and further in 2006 the UGC vide its notification withdrew the word Deemed and renamed the University as Symbiosis International University (SIU). |

Entrance exam
 1.The SNAP Test is the common written test required for admission to the Symbiosis Postgraduate Institutes of Symbiosis International University. It is a mandatory written test for the admission process for the Postgraduate programmes of these Symbiosis institutes. However, it is only the first step. Each Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process.
 2.Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), is the common written test required for admission to the Symbiosis Undergraduate Institutes of Symbiosis International University. It is a mandatory written test for the admission process for the undergraduate programmes of these Symbiosis institutes. However, it is only the first step. Each Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process. |
